Instructors
Zelda M. Reus, PhD, NCTM
A nationally certified teacher of music in piano. She received her doctoral degree in church music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She holds a BA in Music from ULM and a MA in Worship from Dallas Baptist University. She has years of experience working with children in private lessons, children’s choirs, and tutoring— home educating her own two sons.
Sergio de los Santos
Sergio holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from Texas State University. Sergio also holds two AA degrees in Music and Music Business from San Antonio College.
Oscar Garza
Oscar is a professional violinist and vocalist with 15 years of performance specializing in Mariachi. He is a San Antonio native currently living in Los Angeles, California where he has performed, toured and recorded with several professional Mariachi groups including Grammy Award winning, Mariachi Los Camperos. Oscar has accompanied the San Diego Symphony, Symphony of Guadalajara, and has appeared on national television. Oscar is eager to share his experience, knowledge and love of music.
Brian Reus
Brian is our sound technician and beginning guitar instructor. He has professional experience as a sound engineer for various music artists and churches. With a degree in Network Administration, his expertise brings a professional standard to our recitals and performances.
Gwen Sessions, French Instructor
As a native French speaker, originally from Bretagne - France, Gwen brings authentic insight to both the language and culture of France. She is a certified and experienced teacher with a master's degree in French, teaching in both the public and private school setting. She is currently a private tutor for individuals and small groups, all levels, in person or online.
Gwen has a passion for languages and is dedicated to helping all her students be successful in their learning journey. She is especially glad to share her native French language with those in the Castroville area: “I discovered in Castroville a charming town that reminds me of home. I am excited to bring French classes to the Castroville community because I feel it aligns with the city’s heritage.” ​
